SiriusXM Studio Live Performance

Sirius XM will debut a special live concert event,  Bluegrass Junction On Stage hosted by Kyle Cantrell, with Dave Adkins this Friday, October 21 at 6:00 p.m.  Rebroadcasts will air Saturday, October 22 at 12 Noon; Sunday, October 23 at 5:00 p.m.; and Tuesday, October 25 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.

This exciting event was recorded a few months ago at the Sirius XM’s Music City Theatre in Nashville in front of a packed and very enthusiastic audience who also were part of a special meet n’ greet after the show. Dave Adkins and his band performed songs from his self-titled and chart topping album on Mountain Fever Records that made its debut at #1 on Billboard’s Top 10 Bluegrass Albums chart earlier this year.

Just some of the songs fans will hear during the broadcast will include the first single release, “Change Her Mind” that previously hit #1 on Sirius XM Bluegrass Junction’s Most Played Tracks and hit #1 three times on the Bluegrass Today Top 20. The album has received heavy airplay on the station and reached as high as #2 on the station’s Most Played Albums.

Listeners were also highly entertained by the he lightning fast “Turn and Burn,” co-written by Dave Adkins, David Morris and Dawn Kenny that garnered 2nd Place in the prestigious Hazel Dickens Songwriting Contest. The band performed many fan favorites including “Fool-o-sophy” that is #8 this month on Bluegrass Junction’s Most Played Tracks and was written by Kentucky Hall of Famer Larry Cordle and Country superstar Chris Stapleton. Attendees were certainly impressed with Adkins’ cover of John Michael Montgomery’s country hit “Sold” that was the #2 song on Bluegrass Junction’s Most Played Track in August and previously reached #1 on the Bluegrass Today Top 20.

Those in attendance can certainly agree with Bluegrass Today when they wrote “Adkins is entertaining, and truly has one of the most powerful voices in bluegrass today.”
